You made some good points in the first four paragraphs, but not talking about racism or talking about it in a way that won’t make anyone uncomfortable won’t end it either. And for the record, clicks do not matter to me or to any experienced digital writer. It’s engagement that counts, and that comes from writing that resonates with people. Ultimately, I write because I have something to say and a platform on which to say it. It’s about expression for me, and if people are engaged, that’s gravy — even if they don’t all agree with me. Nothing I write here is going to set the world on fire, end racism, or make race relations any worse than they are.
