Though I wouldn't want to misrepresent or simplify what happened in South Africa during the years of apartheid, I think it proves your point that when it comes to the effects of racism, power is a more prominent factor than minority/majority concerns. (Someone once astutely pointed out that racism is race plus power.) In other words, White supremacy doesn't depend on White majority. The die was cast during the infancy of our country, and numbers aren't likely to reverse things.
