This is the first time I’ve read about this incident, and I feel like this well-written article reveals only just enough to support its thesis. I finished it with a much better sense of effect than cause. I would like to read the original Facebook post, and I also would like to know exactly what she said in her pitch letter. Basically, both ladies aired their grievances publicly on social media. Is the article inadvertently criticizing one because she wasn’t discreet enough not to name names or because her career survived the incident intact? I’ve been “cancelled” a number of times over the course of my career, and I still have a career. Maybe it’s because I’m a gay, middle-aged Black man and not a middle-aged White woman. Whatever the reason my career has been spared, I suspect there might be more to this story.
