That’s been the story of my life ever since I began writing about race issues 10 years ago. I used to do the same thing, on a smaller scale, when women would talk about the bad behavior of men. I’d wonder: But what about me? It took me a while, but I finally figured out that it’s not about me. Now I just listen, and I’ve never learned so much.
