I don’t understand why everyone is twisting the situation and going on about “bans.” My only explanation is that some people get spooked as soon as Black people start using their voices and questioning age-old institutions. The world is filled with books. Students aren’t going to miss five of them. Many go on to lead distinguished lives without reading Mark Twain and To Kill a Mockingbird in 7th grade.
