So let me get this straight.

You think it’s OK for a white person to think that by befriending a black person they are bettering the black person?

OK.

You think it’s OK for a white person to rank the black men of Africa like he’s ranking dog breeds while having dinner WITH A BLACK MAN?

OK.

You think it’s OK for a white person to tell a black person that whites are a gift to black people?

OK.

Someday I’ll write an article about all of my white ex-boyfriends and white friends who have never made me feel like anything less than an equal and who don’t “try” to be anything when they’re with me other than who they are.

Until then, I’ll continue to write about disappointing behavior as it disappoints me. If it doesn’t apply to you, consider yourself not in my line of fire. I love white people, and I would never dream of writing anything that damns the entire race. Many of them never offend me without ever trying not to. Imagine that.
