My story is very specifically about the people we regard as heroes. When I buy a product from China, I have not canonized anyone. Confederate soldiers were not heroes, and a Confederate soldier in a movie is not a hero. The Civil War may have been more than 150 years ago, but the system those soldiers were fighting to preserve is still affecting my people today.
