Hi, James. It sounds like you are living my husband’s dream — and mine. What many straight people also fail to realize is that just like straight people, gay men tend to change and evolve over the course of our lives. So even if some of us lean close to the fabulous stereotype when we’re younger, we are allowed to do complete 180s as we grow older. And sometimes we can be both simultaneously. I think the over-simplification of gay life is what some of them do as it allows them to diminish us so they can maintain a safe distance from us.
